Asturias Natural Paradise

Our rural apartments are surrounded by nature

The Rural Apartments Posada de las Hoces are located in a privileged environment of the West of Asturias, the Valley of Walls, of great landscape richness, surrounded by the River Esva, one of the most abundant and virgin rivers of the Council of Valdés whose famous Hoces del Esva , Natural Monument since 2001, they are eroding through the years the land, which gives the Valley a very pleasant microclimate.

Very close to the accommodation begin two hiking trails that bear the name of the Hoces del Esva, because most of them run through them. The PR AS-1 Hoces del Esva and the PR AS-2 The Reservoir, both run through the Esva basin, with stunning views where you want to get lost among riverside woods, at the foot of the river, where if you have any luck you can observe an otter, stop to take a sandwich in the shade of oaks or ash trees, take wonderful photos or take a bath in some of the wells of the river ....

And of course, spot some members of the native flora of the place such as wild boar, roe deer, foxes, goats ...

About 300 meters from the apartments we have the Interpretation Center of the Hoces del Esva, where they offer us a virtual tour of the Protected Landscape of the Esva Basin, its flora and fauna species and project an approximation to the history of the Valley of Paredes and its people; there we have a small playground where the little ones can have fun

The west of Asturias is gradually being discovered, offering the visitor a great wealth of landscapes, passing in a short period of time from the mountain to one of the fantastic beaches that surround us; In little more than twenty minutes we can enjoy almost virgin and little crowded beaches such as the Cueva Beach or the Cadavedo or get closer to the incredible Playa del Silencio (or Gavieiro) in Cudillero, where time stops and you breathe a haven of peace.

The capital of the Council of Valdés, Luarca, the well-known "Villa Blanca of the Costa Verde", cradle of the birth of a Nobel Prize, the illustrious D. Severo Ochoa, is a beautiful fishing village in which you can immerse yourself in charming places and history as The Watchtower and the Lighthouse, the beautiful cemetery, one of the most beautiful in Spain with views of the Cantabrian Sea, its Mesa de Mareantes, the famous and beautiful Puente del Beso, a walk through the fishing port, or taste a cider in some of the terraces.
